Ukrainian vehicles for humanitarian purposes are exempt from tolls in Bulgaria
All types of vehicles registered in the Republic of Ukraine, carry out humanitarian missions or transport refugees from Ukraine, are exempt from tolls – electronic vignette and toll, use of the national road network in Bulgaria. This was decided by the Council of Ministers.
The decision of the Member State concerned regarding the remuneration that the state takes to support the average military environment and the humanitarian crisis is deepening. This ensures timely action, guarantees security and humanitarian and medical assistance.
Regardless of your category and technical characteristics, road vehicles in Ukraine are exempt from paying the vignette and toll fees as follows:
- all road vehicles, regardless of your category and technical characteristics, which use the paid road infrastructure on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, for the purpose of providing humanitarian aid;
- all road vehicles, regardless of their categories and technical characteristics, constituting convoys destined for humanitarian or medical assistance.
The term in which the measure for selection of tolls will be valid is from February 24, 2022 until the need to provide humanitarian and medical assistance is eliminated.
